Golden yellow blossoms, tight clusters, makes for excellent dried flowers as well, US Native, very beneficial and medicinal plant. Pollinators go crazy for yarrow.
Beautiful tiny but abundant clusters of flowers make for an eye catching display.
Perennial zones 3-10. Yarrow likes cool weather and is best planted in spring or summer in cool climates and fall, winter or spring in warm climates. It will return every spring.
Germination temps: around 70 degrees
Grows to 18-24 inches tall and 12 inches wide.
Yarrow has been used for centuries as a medicinal plant.
In foods, the young leaves and flowers of yarrow are used in salads.
In manufacturing, yarrow is also used as a cosmetic cleanser and in shampoos.
Please note that yarrow can be toxic to dogs, cats and horses. It does have a bitter taste so animals tend to avoid it after tasting it, but it should be planted with caution around animals.
